Individualized portfolio preparation for the next generation of art school applicants.
Every year admissions grow more competitive, while what makes a portfolio stand out gets more opaque.
That’s where I come in.
Meet Calil, your new coach.
I’m here to take the guess-work out of your student’s application, by equipping them with the technical skills, conceptual rigor, and confidence to tackle any application process–all from the remote comfort of your own home!

Adult Group Class: Making and ‘Reading’ Art
Location: Remote (Eastern Time)
Summer Dates: 6:30 PM EDT on Sundays, July 5th – August 9th
Most of us look at art and feel something — but struggle to say what, or why, or how the work is actually doing that to us. This class fixes that.
Built around the practice of close reading, these sessions develop your ability to look at images and texts slowly, carefully, and analytically. Over six weeks, you'll sharpen your critical eye, strengthen your analytical voice, and walk away able to engage with a wide range of visual and written work with clarity and confidence. Small groups by design — the conversation is the point.
This class is for you if:
You want to sharpen your critical thinking alongside your observational and analytical skills
You miss the intellectual stimulus of college (but not the tuition)
You want to talk about art and ideas with more clarity, understanding, and eloquence
Format: 6 sessions · 90 minutes each · Max 8 students Cost: $400 total
