About Me
No one likes a braggart– but we do like bona fides!
I’m helping artists take their next step because I’ve been in their shoes. I’ve personally auditioned for (and attended) arts middle school, high school, boarding school, and university, all on full-ride scholarships.
With gratitude, I was able to attend The Cooper Union in New York City; there I was awarded a fellowship with the Peter Cooper student lecture series. I later became a Rhoda Lubalin Fellow at the Lubalin Center of Design and Typography, developing a free public lecture.
Through Paula Cooper Gallery and Pace Gallery, I gained behind-the-scenes insights into how private art markets work. During this period I also worked as an inaugural fellow with the New City Critics–– a joint partnership between the Architectural League of New York, the Urban Design Forum, and Urban Omnibus.
Office workers, rejoice!—your kid’s BFA can be useful in corporate America. Through my training in the arts and storytelling, I developed skills that translated into the business world—most notably in brokering corporate partnerships at Vox Media and The New York Times. These experiences inform how I teach across creative, academic, and professional contexts—and how I help students translate their skills far beyond the studio.
