These group classes are designed to equip students with the confidence, technical, and creative tools they need for successful applications to visual arts magnet middle schools nation-wide. No matter the program, admissions jurors are looking for applicants to demonstrate the same skills: technical observational drawing skills, creative and original thinking, and in some cases, a portfolio or timed audition component. Each of these can radically improve, with niche preparation. That’s what this course will do.
Classes are capped at eight students. We meet weekly for one hour, with homework between classes. Billing is handled in monthly increments.
